Pretty Perfect Party Feature

I was so excited yesterday when my lemonade stand was featured on Amy Atlas.  My kids and I had planned on having this during spring break but Mother Nature had other ideas.  We were rained out for a few day and I ended up missing the blog post I had originally scheduled.  But when life gives you lemons....

So see, everything turned out for the best.  Do you recognize the stand from Charlotte's Apple of My Eye Party?  Best part of the lemonade stand- all of these item were store bought and I just fancied them up. (I took pink sprinkles to my local donut store and the made the all pink sprinkle donuts for me.) I love the pink, yellow and white color scheme!
If you would like the banner, I am happy to send it to you if you

1. Are a follower of Bloom (Sign up now, if you're not already one, on the right side bar).
2. Leave me a comment with your email on this blog- (not pinterest or Facebook- sorry it is too hard to keep track of who received it)

I would also appreciate it if you
Like me on Facebook. If you already like me, share this giveaway.
Follow me on Pinterest.

A thousand thanks to Amy, Lisa and the entire AAE team for featuring the stand!

Pretty Perfect

So excited to share two fabulous parties with you from last week around the web.

Pajama Party on Amy Atlas

This party theme is done so well.  I love the mixing of simple patterns and the double pink and black color scheme.  The cereal in the centerpieces is very clever and you can never go wrong with 36" balloons for a backdrop.  These balloons are especially useful if your dessert table isn't against a wall where you can hang stuff.

Its the perfect way to wake up.

Newly Hatched on Amy Atlas

This party was styled in part by Leoni Jena of Just Call Me Martha- definitely one of my favorite party stylist.  Her work is always beautiful, refined, fresh and classy.  You can see other examples of her work here and here.  I get so excited each time I see a feature of hers because I know it will be incredible.  Aren't these cakes amazing and I absolutely love the butter yellow and lavender color scheme!

Its the perfect spring party. Have a great day.

Pretty Perfect

My favorite party inspiration from around the web last week, without a doubt, is this cheese display.  I love the different cheeses stack on a pedestal made to resemble a cake.  Perfectly unique and clever.  You'll catch it at one of my parties soon! Amy Atlas devoted an 3 post to this party.  Check it out here.

Here's another pretty perfect cheese table I found on the web. Beautiful, simple, classy, clean, modern, love it!

Pretty Perfect

Did you catch this Popeye party last week on Amy Atlas?  It made my jaw drop.  Perfect detail. The cake is totally amazing.  It made me remember details about the cartoon that I had long forgotten.   The bold primary color scheme looks amazing and I love the whimpy burgers and soda bottles tied with rope. The perfect degree of nautical!

Happy Friday- What's in Bloom?

Happy Friday everyone. Isn't this cake amazing?!?!  Do you recognize it?  A few weeks back, Fairly Odd Mother from Once Upon a Pedestal emailed me to see if she could use my I Love You Alphabet as inspiration for a cake she was making.  I was honored of course and asked her to send me a photo.  I was just absolutely stunned when I saw this creation.  She is clearly a VERY talented artist.  I read her blog for a bit (she was a finalist in the Martha Stewart's Cutest Cupcake Challenge all the way back in 2008!) and love her philosophy: work at what you love.  I find myself forgetting that a bit lately. So Fairly Odd Mother's photo came on a much needed day!  (Thanks for that!)  Make sure you check out her blog.  She made teacups out of ice cream cones.  Simply stunning!  In her post, Fairly Odd Mother mentions my gumballs.

Don't these gumball tubes just look happy?  I have spent the last few days shipping out order, after order, after order of gumball tubes- empty and filled.  When I first posted the Blow Me A Kiss -Make It Monday, I had no intention of selling these in anyway.  However I've had such an overwhelmingly  positive response to the idea and I've received so many inquiries about the tubes, I figured I might as well!  Now, you can find these gumball tubes and a bunch of other party supplies on my Etsy Store.  A party in one place: invitations, decorations, supplies, and favors. Honestly, I love having the supplies at my house- like a kid in a candy shop:)

Pop over to Etsy and take a look.  I've also added quite a bit of new printable that I'll share soon.

AND FINALLY, thanks again to Jillian and Catch My Party for choosing my S.W.A.K Party as Party of the Day yesterday, Ground Hog's Day, and today!  I just popped over for my daily inspiration and was so surprised and happy to see my Trim A Tree Party rotating.  SO HONORED!  Thank you Jillian for the kind words.

Have a great weekend! Going to bed happy...

Happy Friday- S.W.A.K.

Recently, my kiddos invited some friends over for a mini Valentine's Day party.  My theme this year was S.W.A.K (Sealed With A Kiss).  When they arrived, the kids all received personalized lunch boxes filled with card making supplies and they spent their afternoon creating wonderful, handmade letters for their loved ones.  I just love pink so there is no way I am spending Valentine's without it and thankfully, it is also the color of my daughters' room which is where we decided to have the party.  They loved turning their sleeping space into a party place.  The chalkboard heart dictated the other color of the party.  I am very proud to say that this party was featured on Sweet Designs by Amy Atlas yesterday !!!!! (Remember to enter into my give away for Amy's book.  Your odds are good!) Here are some additional party pictures.

Today we reached a great milestone- 20,000 page views!
Starting next week- I hope to be posting four or five times a week.
My goal is to share a real party with you each week-so send some in.  Wish me luck!
Have a great weekend

A Sweet Give Away

I was so excited yesterday when I logged onto Sweet Designs by Amy Atlas, one of my favorite blogs (which I check three times a day for inspiration), and saw the cover of Amy's new book, Sweet Designs.  It is beautiful, to say the least.  For those of you who don't know who Amy Atlas is (this is for my dad who reads my blog), she is to the dessert table what Oprah Winfrey is to talk shows- the queen. She is totally in a league by herself. She is absolutely, without a doubt my party styling idol! On top of that, her commander in chief, Lisa, is the nicest, most endearing person have I come across in this business.  My first real party styling break came when my Thriller party was featured on Sweet Designs last October.  I actually sent the party in as a Hail Mary, why not, might as well.  Not in my wildest dreams did I think they would even respond. I honestly received an email back from Lisa within 10 minutes and it is like that each time I submit something.
So, to share some of this excitement with you, I am doing a giveaway of Amy's book, Sweet Designs.  Leave a comment below with your email by midnight, Wednesday, February 1.  The winner will be announced next Friday.  However, I would encourage everyone to go onto Amazon or Barnes and Noble and pre-order the book anyways. Amazingly, it is only $18.46- all 352 pages of this hard cover book. The only down side- you have to wait until April to get it.
Good Luck!

Doggone Good Job!

Did you check out the amazing "paw"ty on Amy Atlas today?  It was hosted by my very talented and gracious friend, Lauren.  I always love the clean, graphic feel of Lauren's parties.  No clutter. She's the perfect editor.  Congratulations, Lauren! Check out the full feature here.

A Lucky Day!

11-11-11 turned out to be an amazing day for me.

amy-atlas-150-x-150First, the beyond talented Amy Atlas, queen of the dessert table, posted another party of mine on her blog, Sweet Designs by Amy Atlas, this afternoon.  When she posted my Thriller party a few weeks ago, I thought it was a once in a life time opportunity for me.  I was completely shocked and beyond honored when she told me she was posting another party of mine. Check out my feature here.

Then, after months (yes months) of waiting and checking, I finally got my first member of Bloom.  Yippee.  Thank you, Kirsten.  I hope I don't disappoint you.

And finally, I spent a rainless evening hosting 36 of my dearest friends.  Friends who help raise my kids, inspire my creativity and make me laugh each day. The party turned out to be everything I hoped for and planned.

So, 11-11-11 was a fabulous day for me and at 1:05, five minutes after my last 4 guest left, it poured rain!
