Apple of Our Eye Party

Finally, it's time to share my daughter, Charlotte's Apple of My Eye Party on my blog!  I was going to wait until the party planning series is over but I have a lot more to say and I can't wait any longer to share these photos with you.

I created this Apple of Our Eye party for my daughter, Charlotte’s, sixth birthday. I did not want the party to feel like a harvest so I incorporated crisp, modern printables and a preppy bright pink and apple green color scheme.

When the little guests arrived for lunch, they untied their apple baskets from the backs of their chairs and dined on applewiches, harvest chips, mac ‘n cheese, apple sauce and of course a crisp green apple. They sipped on apple juice and lemonade served in glass jars. Each girl had an apple of our eye gumball tube at her place setting. To make the placemats, I simply made a document on word and then had it enlarged on thick glossy cardstock at my local printers
After lunch the girls did apple of my eye make up, made paper mache apples using left over fabric from the bunting and made apple necklaces. They also made their own mini apple pies in mason jars that we called, Charlie Pies- my daughter’s nickname.
The girls treated themselves at the farm stand, which was filled with apple cake pops, apple cupcakes, applejacks, and candy apples. There was also ice cream scooped in candy cup and shaped to look like apples complete with wooden stem or spoon. They also loved the M&M apples done in baking cups as well.
Party favors were apple of my eye t-shirts.

I made this placement on my compute,r then had the copy store enlarge it on glossy cardstock

The complete line of printables, the chevron sandwich bags, baking cups and straws are available in my etsy store.  HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Eat, PINK and Be Married on HWTM

Today was a huge mile stone for me.  I am so humbled and honored to have the Eat, PINK and Be Married Bridal Shower that I hosted for my sweet sister featured on Hostess With The Mostess, the be all, end all of party planning site- the queen of all party planners.  I have been holding my breathe for the past month waiting for this to post and it is really a professional high for me.  THANKS to Jenn, Amber and the entire Hostess With The Mostess Team.  That's all- I'm overwhelmed and speechless.  I can retire happy, professionally complete;)  Hop on over to HWTM and check it out.

I am happy to send you the file for these adorable pink party quote that were on each table if you

1.  Follow Bloom Designs on Pinterest or follow my blog as a Person in Bloom.
2. Post a comment with your email address or send me an email with your email address so I can send it to you.

I keep the one about princesses in a small silver frame over the dryer to read as I'm folding laundry- makes me smile.  The rest of the printables from the party are available in my Etsy store.  I think they would also work great for a baby shower or birthday party.  If you haven't had a chance to see the milk and cookies dessert table I did for my sisters engagement party, check it out here.

Happy Friday- What's in Bloom?

Happy Friday everyone. Isn't this cake amazing?!?!  Do you recognize it?  A few weeks back, Fairly Odd Mother from Once Upon a Pedestal emailed me to see if she could use my I Love You Alphabet as inspiration for a cake she was making.  I was honored of course and asked her to send me a photo.  I was just absolutely stunned when I saw this creation.  She is clearly a VERY talented artist.  I read her blog for a bit (she was a finalist in the Martha Stewart's Cutest Cupcake Challenge all the way back in 2008!) and love her philosophy: work at what you love.  I find myself forgetting that a bit lately. So Fairly Odd Mother's photo came on a much needed day!  (Thanks for that!)  Make sure you check out her blog.  She made teacups out of ice cream cones.  Simply stunning!  In her post, Fairly Odd Mother mentions my gumballs.

Don't these gumball tubes just look happy?  I have spent the last few days shipping out order, after order, after order of gumball tubes- empty and filled.  When I first posted the Blow Me A Kiss -Make It Monday, I had no intention of selling these in anyway.  However I've had such an overwhelmingly  positive response to the idea and I've received so many inquiries about the tubes, I figured I might as well!  Now, you can find these gumball tubes and a bunch of other party supplies on my Etsy Store.  A party in one place: invitations, decorations, supplies, and favors. Honestly, I love having the supplies at my house- like a kid in a candy shop:)

Pop over to Etsy and take a look.  I've also added quite a bit of new printable that I'll share soon.

AND FINALLY, thanks again to Jillian and Catch My Party for choosing my S.W.A.K Party as Party of the Day yesterday, Ground Hog's Day, and today!  I just popped over for my daily inspiration and was so surprised and happy to see my Trim A Tree Party rotating.  SO HONORED!  Thank you Jillian for the kind words.

Have a great weekend! Going to bed happy...

Catch My Party

No- it's not Groundhog's Day, yet.  It felt like it though this morning when I woke up and found out that one of my parties was Party of the Day on Catch My Party. Once again, I am so delighted to be picked by Jillian for this honor.   I haven't had the chance to share my Hillary in Paris Party with you, so check out the entire party here.
I love this little lady cake.  It is not even close to perfect but my Hillary and I had a great time making her.  She was so proud of it!

Make It Monday coming in a few
